Speaking about “Bless God,” Ligertwood describes it as “warmly inviting yet declarative” and sees it as a song meant for the Church. “EIGHT” is an 11-track studio project, following her solo debut, “SEVEN (Live),” which has amassed over 146 million global streams since its release in 2022. This new album is a sonic masterpiece, carefully crafted with prayer, offering a collection of new songs and timeless pieces for today’s generation.
Ligertwood explains, “EIGHT was created in the midst of various traumas, some ongoing, some still leaving us breathless. Despite all this, it carries a message of hope. It’s a bit unusual here, but the Lord is still good.”
She goes on to say, “Every word in this collection has been a personal truth for me. Meditating on these lyrics, which I prayed over during the creative process, has been a source of comfort for my weary heart. I hope it serves the same purpose for those who listen.”
